IA student awarded the Presidential Volunteer Service Award

Gemma Beckett (11th grade) has earned the Presidential Volunteer Service Award through her volunteer hours with the Northeast Atlanta chapter of the National Charity League.  The PVSA is a prestigious national honor issued by the President that recognizes community service and encourages citizens to make volunteer service a central part of their lives.  Gemma earned this award through 120 volunteer hours to various organizations in the local community over the last year.  She is most proud of the time she has spent serving with Families of Children Under Stress (FOCUS) as a summer camp counselor.
