What is the purpose of PSAT?
The Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT) / National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (NMSQT) is a standardized test that high school students take in October. Like the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), it measures the knowledge and skills your child needs to succeed in college and career pathways.
Who takes the PSAT?
All students in 9th, 10th, and 11th grade will take the PSAT.
11th grade students use this PSAT administration to qualify for National Merit Scholarships.
When is the PSAT given?
