As the sweet scent of autumn arrives, students are settling in, awaiting the upcoming event to grace Innovation Academy. The Homecoming dance has brought in a wave of corny posters and couples asking one another to accompany them for the night, a treasure trove for those critical of the posterization of corniness to scoff at in awe.
Although the lateness of the event can be drudging to those eager to attend, it also offers some upsides. For one, there’s no stress to find a date. There’s plenty of time to ask around, making it an overwhelmingly easier task, as well as allowing for more elaborate ways students can make their proposal.
A huge advantage to the Homecoming’s timing is its preceding Halloween. Suppose Halloween was just a day away from your very own Homecoming, a dream turned reality for partygoers. Imagine the tension in the days leading up to these two equally monumental evenings.
