Hello IA Families,

We had a great week this week finishing with a quality day of learning for faculty and staff. It’s fun for me to get to see all of the incredible work they are already doing and the incredible plans they are working on for next semester.

I wanted to take a quick moment to celebrate our students who have made it to the state-level of Governor’s Honor Program. This prestigious program allows the students to participate in subject-specific programs over the summer with the top students from across the stage. We had 38 students move past the district level. We are competing against great schools across the district, so having 38 students move to the state level is fantastic. We wish them all good luck with their state-level applications, and I am quite confident many in this group will be selected to attend the program. Thank you to Dahlia Restler, our TAG department chair, who manages our GHP program.

With the end of the semester around the corner, I’d like to remind everyone how important it is to work with your students to stay on top of their assignments and take advantage of the multiple opportunities their teachers are giving them for further study.

With the run-off election coming, the district has decided to have a remote learning day on December 6. I want to make sure our community is aware of this change.

Thank you as always for your continued support.
