Georgia Gwinnett College is hosting the Sixth Annual Olifer Math Competition for students in grades 1-10 on Saturday, March 25, 2023.

This math competition is a celebration of future science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) majors. Children and teenagers are natural problem solvers and like to think outside of the box. The problems used in this contest are designed to inspire them and encourage them to engage with this kind of thinking. It will be a different and unique experience from what they usually experience in the classroom. Solving problems and meeting other students in a collegiate environment will make this competition an unforgettable event.

The registration is $10 per participant and seats are limited. For each grade, the first three places at the competition will receive special math prizes and all participants will receive recognition for their participation. The flyer and some sample problems from previous years are attached. Here is a link for registration and QR code:

If you have any questions – do not hesitate to contact Dr. Katya Nathanson at enathanson@ggc.edu; 470-330-7229.

We look forward to seeing you and your students at the competition in March!
