The engineering department and IA PTSO is pleased to bring our inaugural October Sky event sponsored by Lockheed Martin. During this day, the students will build, decorate and launch Estes rockets. Aerospace engineers from Lockheed Martin and our parent community will assist in the build and launch of rockets. There will be a Ted Talk panel discussion featuring Lockheed Martin and Georgia Tech Rocket Club. In the afternoon, students will watch the movie, “October Sky.” This will be a fun, engaging day for our engineering students to learn about aerospace engineering.
