For those who may not be familiar, the Georgia Governor’s Honors Program is a prestigious residential summer program aimed at high school sophomores and juniors who demonstrate exceptional skills, knowledge, and talent. It provides a unique learning environment, distinct from traditional classrooms, with a focus on academic, cultural, and social enrichment. Through GHP, students are empowered to evolve into the future’s critical thinkers, innovators, and leaders.
This year, GHP will take place in the mid-summer as a residential program hosted at Georgia Southern University. During the program, students will engage in intensive classes tailored to their areas of study, both in the mornings and afternoons. Evenings will be filled with a diverse array of social and instructional activities, fostering holistic growth and development. Thanks to the program’s support, meals and accommodations are provided, with only minimal expected costs such as travel expenses to and from the semifinalist event and host campus, basic supplies, and optional spending money.
