Recently Ms. Milene Melendez, an Emmy nominated makeup artist, took time out of her busy schedule to come to Innovation Academy and educate our audio video film and technology students on the basics of special effects makeup. She provided students insight into the profession by explaining the movie set schedules for a makeup artist and union membership. She then proceeded to do a live demo on aging and bruising on student and assistant principal volunteers.
Following her visit students attempted some of the techniques they learned from her demonstrations. All had a great time and maybe you will see some special effects makeup in the next IA tv!
