Albert Zhang was the winner of the 47th annual Ruth Kern Young Artist’s Concerto Competition. The competition gives students the opportunity to perform concerto pieces with the Atlanta Community Symphony Orchestra (ACSO). The competition is highly selective and consists of two rounds. In the first round, students submit a recording of their playing, and in the second round, students perform in front of a panel of judges from the ACSO. Albert played Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A minor. As a winner of the senior division, Albert was able to rehearse and perform with the ACSO.
