Scheduling 24-25 Update – Grade Level Parent Meetings, Dual Enrollment and AP Night

Hello IA Community,

It is hard to believe, but in January, we will begin the process of scheduling for the 24-25 school year. I wanted to reach out to mark your calendar for important dates and point you in the right direction for resources to assist with this process.

Mark Your Calendar – Parent Meetings:

  • 9th Grade (Rising 10th) Parent Meeting – Jan. 9th at 6:30 pm/Virtual
  • 10th Grade (Rising 11th) Parent Meeting – Feb. 12th at 6:30 pm/Virtual
  • 11th Grade (Rising 12th) Parent Meeting – Feb. 13th at 6:30 pm in the IA Auditorium

*These meetings will walk you through the scheduling process, understand graduation requirements and course placements, and ensure you have the knowledge to support your student through the process.

Mark Your Calendar – Dual Enrollment and AP Night:

  • Dual Enrollment Night – Jan 10th at 6:30pm in the Auditorium
    • For rising 11th and 12th grade families interested in Dual Enrollment opportunities
  • AP Night – Jan 10th at 7:30pm in the Hangar
    • For all students interested in exploring their AP options for the next school year
    • Individual sessions with teachers in classrooms to learn more about the courses

Where do I find ALL THE RESOURCES?

We have created a one stop shop for all items needed for the scheduling process here: https://www.counseling.fcsia.com/copy-of-scheduling-process

This webpage will be continually updated with all new items for this next scheduling season. Check back often!

What’s Next?

Beginning in January, you will receive a weekly scheduling update about upcoming dates and deadlines, what is next in the process, and how to support your student.

Please make a list of your questions now as most of them will be answered through our parent and student workshops and through our weekly emails.  Hold those questions for our January and February sessions.  Counselors are working on closing out this semester and will focus on scheduling next semester.
