Congratulations to Pranay Mahindrakar who was selected as a presenter for the 2024 Georgia Junior Science & Humanities Symposium! Pranay will attend the 3 day symposium at UGA and will present his original research before a panel of judges and an audience of his peers. Students can compete for military sponsored scholarships and a variety of other awards, with some students advancing to the national level.

The Junior Science & Humanities Symposium Program is a collaborative effort between the research offices of the U.S. Office of the Secretary of Defense, U.S. Army, U.S. Navy and Marine Corps, U.S. Air Force and Space Force, National Science Teaching Association, and leading research universities throughout the nation. The Department of Defense generously provides funding for the regional and national symposia and JSHS scholarships.

As Georgia’s affiliated regional symposium, GJSHS is administered by the Office of Academic Special Programs at the University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education & Hotel, a unit of Public Service & Outreach.

Visit the Department of Defense Sponsors webpage for more information about the partnerships that make JSHS possible.
