IA is striving to optimize the learning experience for students and teachers using data and feedback from its stakeholders. In order to better support the development of our students’ skills and proficiency in FVS Spanish 1, 2 and 2H, and all FVS French classes, World Language classes will adopt a new format starting next week. To increase efficiency in grading and to guarantee meaningful feedback within 48 hours, students will no longer report to their WL teachers once a week unless they are scheduled to take a DBA. The teacher will still be available to work with students who need it in-person during their virtual period or via TEAMS when the teacher is off campus. The goal of this new format is to increase the capacity for teachers to grade assignments, give meaningful feedback, and communicate with students and families more often. It will also give students more flexibility to receive help on any given day. The expectations are still for students to keep up with the pace of their course and check their email daily for updates from their teacher. Parents are encouraged to create a Parent Observer account in Canvas. The directions to create an account can be found below.
