On September 29th, over 30 runners from Run IA completed the 5k Mayor’s Challenge. Run IA is a collection of IA students and faculty who run each week to make a difference in the community. We are committed to the fact that an object in motion tends to stay in motion.
The Mayor’s 5k Corporate Challenge raises funds for multiple charities around North Fulton such as Drake House, Stand-up for Kids, Homestretch, Foster Care Georgia, and the YMCA.
After the race, some of our very own runners received special recognition:
- IA sophomore Aditi Satghare finished 5th overall in her age group.
- IA faculty member Laura Taylor finished 5th overall in her age group.
- IA freshman Wylie Gibson won first place overall for 15-19 year-olds.
- Run IA finished third overall in the team standings and has already set its sights for next year.
