Today (5/13), was one of the highlights of my career as I witness over 300 students present projects with passion. We had over 800 visitors that included Board members, our zone superintendent, representatives from major corporations, civic groups, and families come firsthand to see the IA difference. The students were beaming with pride as they showcased their work and kept the audience excited about the next generation. What really excites me is that these projects were not done for a grade or in preparation of a looming test. These projects simply exhibited the IA Student Traits – Inquisitive, Collaborative, Creative, Analytical, Well-rounded, Empathetic, Flexible, and Driven. In the workforce, rarely are we asked what did you memorize this week – more likely we are questioned about the projects we are working on and the progress we are making. In future careers, I’m confident our students will be well-prepared to excel because of the work they are doing now.
