SSS Lessons

Congratulations to Ms. Brie Curry, Mr. Ian Custard, and Ms. Maren Reid. These wonderful teachers are the February winners for Student Success Skills. They led the way in their 4th period classroom this month to discuss cultural competency, empathy, and ethical behavior.

Students can now nominate their 4th or 5th period teacher for their outstanding job teaching and discussing SSS themes. Our first winner is Ms. Binita Patel and her 4th period Algebra I class. Congratulations to Ms. Patel!

Thank you to our PTSO for sponsoring our Student Success Skills Awards!

Next week, students will continue to learn about Social Skills and the focus will be on cooperation:

Life is not meant to be a solo act. People are designed to work and play together. But when two or more people get together, there may be problems. Cooperation is essential for getting along. Cooperation is about contributing ideas, accepting the ideas of the others, and combining those ideas to make work and play easier, faster, better, and more fun! When groups (pairs, small groups, large groups, families, classes, or teams) work together, everyone benefits.
